EDC Announces Highest Month in History

Educational Development Corporation (NASDAQ: EDUC) announces that its October sales were $2,766,300, an increase of 28% over October last year and the highest monthly sales in the Company's history.
The Home Business Division recorded its first two million dollar month with net sales of $2,248,200, an increase of 38% over last October. This marks the 28th consecutive month in which the Home Business Division has produced a sales increase.
The Publishing Division is also performing very well and has posted a 5% increase for the year.
Oklahoma Inc., as reported in the November 3 issue of The Sunday Oklahoman, has ranked the Company as the number one performing public Company in Oklahoma. For the past six years, The Oklahoman, with the help of Standard & Poor's, has ranked Oklahoma public companies using a system aimed at evaluating profitable growth. Companies are ranked based on three measures: total return to shareholders including dividends, revenue growth and per-share earnings.
Educational Development Corporation sells the Usborne line of children's books through its multi-level sales organization, through 10,000 retail stores and over the Internet. The Company offers over 1,100 different titles for children of all ages.
